In addition to Liddell vs. Silva, UFC 79 features the main event welterweight championship matchup between George St. Pierre and former UFC champion Matt Hughes (43-5).
The 170-pound title fight between George St. Pierre and former division king Matt Hughes will take place at UFC 79. The Change will happen because of an injured Matt “The Terror” Serra slipped a disk in his back in preparation of the UFC 79 Nemisis. The coaches now will have to wait for now to face-off inside the Octagon with the world welterweight title at stake.
