Light heavy-weight champion Rashad Evans has shown tremendous improvement in his stand up, finishing four of his last six fights via TKO or KO. In his championship title match against former light heavy-weight champion Forrest Griffin, Rashad displayed his ground and pound, which put Forrest away with brutal blows to the head and face.

Tensions rose at UFC 96, when Evans (13-0-1) entered the cage to trade words with Jackson (30-7) seconds after his victory. Evans was actually surprised the standoff became as heated as fast as it did. Evans will have other things to ponder when he enters the Octagon in May, most likely Machida (14-0), a fighter whose style perplexes opponents more often than not.

In the co-main event, former welterweight champions Matt Hughes and Matt Serra will settle their eternal grudge match once and for all in a highly anticipated 170-pound contest. And former number one middleweight contender Yushin Okami will return to the Octagon to challenge the surging 185-pound standout Dan Miller and welterweight iron man Josh Koscheck is back in action once again opposite Chris Wilson in other main card action.
