Having a master’s degree in education under his belt, Rich Franklin is a former UFC middleweight champion. Franklin is the co-founder of the Keep it in the Ring foundation which aims to enhance character building in youth. Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva,on the other hand, has a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He is known for his extreme aggressiveness during fights and most of his fights have to be stopped by the referee!
In the Preliminary Card
Dennis Siver will take on Bangor, Maine native Dale Hartt in a showdown. Siver will be representing the German talent on this card, so it should be a fantastic homecoming for Siver to perform in front of countrymen.This should make for an explosive match up as both guys are very stand up oriented, so this could end either way.
Also, Fighting out of Holland, Denis Stojnic looks to bounce back from a disappointing loss in his UFC debut to American Kickboxing Academy’s Cain Velasquez. He faces fellow Dutch fighter Stefan Struve, who also lost his first foray into the Octagon to Junior dos Santos.
